Infrared Electrical Inspection Services
Known as Thermographic Testing - improves Safety, Reliability and Reduce Down Time; and helps maintain longevity of equipment. Infrared electrical inspections helps in the early detection of problems and document incipient failures and should be combined with timely and effective repairs. Terminating and Splicing High Voltage Cables
High Voltage Cables are required to be terminated in a manner that reduces electrical stresses at the termination point, or spliced in a manner that ensures High Voltage cable integrity. To do this, precise techniques are required. Splices and terminations, which are always a vital part of any cable system, become more susceptible to failure at higher voltages. Whether splicing or terminating is accomplished by the use of hand-applied tapes, a filled or molded device, heat-shrinkable tubing, or a prefabricated device, care should be exercised during the application. Poor workmanship or improper choice of materials could jeopardize the reliability of the entire system.
Protective Relay Calibration & Testing
When a protective relay senses an abnormal condition, it will send a signal to a trip coil on a particular device, such as a circuit breaker, switch or other device, that is designed to interrupt the circuit, thus limiting the damage to the equipment and personnel. If the protective relays are not monitoring or measuring properly, they can cause false tripping or non-tripping. Since these devices operate during abnormal conditions on the power system, the only way to ensure correct operation is by a comprehensive inspection, maintenance, tests and calibration programs. The different types of protective relays can monitor current, voltage, frequency, phase/ground faults, bus/line faults or any other type of electrical power disturbance.

Transformer Repair, Maintenance & Testing Services

COORDINATION STUDY FOR PROTECTIVE DEVICES
Is the examination of the electrical system to ensure that protective devices are properly designed and coordinated. Protective devices are rated, selected and adjusted so that only the fault current carrying device nearest the fault opens to isolate a faulted circuit from the system. TRANSFORMER OIL QUALITY ANALYSIS
As part of a complete preventive maintenance program, periodic oil analysis will monitor the condition of power transformers and detect problems before they reach serious proportions. DISSOLVED GAS ANALYSIS (DGA)
In conjunction with other tests, analyses and inspections, DGA is crucial in determining the operating conditions of transformers. Transformer faults occur in internal environments of the insulating oil or in near proximity to cellulose insulation. In the event that a fault is active, the degradation rate can or will be substantial. Each fault, however, consists of various mixtures of degradation gases.
